There’s something magical about wind turbines: they create electricity out of thin air. Wind’s limitless potential inspires hope for a cleaner, sustainable future. Already there are more than 60,000 wind turbines in the United States.
To support our planet’s health, if you can’t generate your own electricity, choose renewable electricity through your provider. Let your voice be heard and vote this November for candidates who advocate for clean, renewable energy.

“It isn’t important if you reach the summit… what matters is how you make the climb. We were never lost, but there were lots of times when we didn’t know where we were.” — Grace Hudowalski – The first woman to become an Adirondack 46'R
“I’ve been fortunate to visit the Adirondacks every year of my life. Since 1919, my family has made this sacred place a second home; we go to rejuvenate and to explore nature. This vital and fragile oasis is a source of renewal and self-discovery.” —Jonathan Sprout

Force For Good honors singer-songwriter and phenom Taylor Swift for her uplifting effect on a pandemic-weary world. Her Eras Tour—151 shows on five continents—the highest-grossing tour in history, is a Happening where friends enjoy singing along in costumes reminiscent of a favorite “era” inspired by each of Taylor’s 10 albums.
An earthquake wasn’t the only surprise. The Eras Tour significantly boosted tourism and local revenue at every stop. Every host city reported generous donations to food banks. And when Taylor gifted bonuses to her cast and touring crew…
Is music finding its way into your busy life?
For me, composing involves constant experimentation and refinement. My process involves working on a piece until I’ve taken it to a point of maximum satisfaction that matches my piano playing ability. Then I move on to another composition, after which I sometimes realize that my playing has improved enough to warrant a new series of edits on the prior piece! Little by little, in this circular fashion, I nudge each of my compositions into a more polished form.
Since 2017, I’ve logged 1,590 hours on my piano composing and rehearsing. So far, I have…
Is music finding its way into your busy life?
For most of my career, the guitar has been my go-to instrument. For the first two FFG albums, Passions and Innocence, I stepped out of my comfort zone and created simple piano tracks. Working with Joe Mennonna, who upgraded the pieces into full-fingered piano compositions, we completed a new piano-based venture. After we finished Innocence, Joe retired and I set a new goal: I would compose and perform on my own, the piano parts for future albums.
Since September 2017, I’ve logged…
March is set aside to honor women. I say it is also time to honor girls, for throughout American history, youth activism has led to significant cultural and global shifts. Today we think of Greta Thunberg who, as a 15-year-old environmental activist, sounded the alarm with her “School Strike for Climate.” Or, there’s Nobel Prize laureate at 17, Malala Yousafzai, whose experience…

Reduce, reuse, repair, recycle. The mantra’s tidy alliteration belies its grave relevance. While each of us can prioritize these lifestyle choices, still we must encourage our leaders to create change on a larger scale. Greenpeace notes that the upcoming UN Environmental Assembly (UNEA) gathering this month will consider a “bold, ambitious, binding Global Plastics Treaty…
Before I met then-Bishop Tutu, I knew that I would be meeting a great man, but I didn’t know how lucky I was. I would never be the same. Recently, his passing hit me hard with a gut punch of sadness. This was quickly followed by an impression of his smiling face. He was glowing with kindness and sending wise words into the air with exuberance. READ MORE>>>
